I love CFA because every Tuesday at 9:30am I can take my kids in there, toss them in the mostly sound proof play area and sit in the dining area with other tired moms and have normal adult conversations.
At 10:00 Miss Nicole shows up and dances around with the kids and sings songs and reads books. This phenomenon is called "Mommy & Me," but we all know the truth. It should really be called "Mommy Daze" because we have no idea where our kids are or what they are doing, just that they are safely inside, being entertained and a mom somewhere will let you know if one of you children needs a booboo kissed or needs to be wrangled.
But the best part is that we moms are a team. We all watch out for the other's child (especially handy when one child needs to go NOW and the other is left wondering where mom went). We all politely mind the children that aren't ours while sipping our caffiene loaded coffee and tea (yesterday I splurged on a free milkshake!). Even today while one mom was tending to her prechooler, my best friend Michelle went over to sooth her crying infant - it's a community. We laugh. We compare notes on potty training, colic and husbands who just don't get it.
It's like a team. Team CFA MOM. It's fabulous.
And the waffle fries are delish, too.
